About Lizette

Lizette holds a Bachelors Degree in Applied Social Sciences and a Diploma in Counselling and Communication from The South African College of Applied Psychology.

Lizette is passionate about helping others, evidenced by her pervious occupations as an Aroma Therapist, Shiatsu Practitioner, and Equine Therapist.

Lizette currently practice from her office in Stellenbosch where she councils individuals and facilitate groups.

Lizette also works at Recovery Direct, where she provides individual counselling, facilitate group sessions and meditation.  Recovery Direct holds the view that substance use disorders is often caused by trauma.  The approach used is to address substance use disorders by exploring and dealing with the trauma. 

She has experience in individual counselling and facilitating psychoeducational groups and support groups in various fields.

Lizette lives in the Winelands where she cares for and raise horses

 Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Applied Social Sciences (B.AppSocSci) from South African College of Applied Psychology
• Diploma in Counselling and Communication from South African College of Applied Psychology
• Diploma in Shiatsu from Cape Town Academy of Shiatsu
• Diploma in Aromatherapy (CHPC Accredited)
